How to fish at zig rig: a practical guide
WHAT IS A ZIG RIG?
The term “zig rig” refers to a particular technique of carp fishing that includes fishing for carp and the amur in the intermediate layers of water and not on the bottom.

The technique of zig rig can be applied through two frames of different construction and type of structure: zig rig “classic” and “adjustable”.
The frame “classic” is the most easy to implement: simply create a normal beam to apply a clip portapiombo and attach it to the swivel on a long terminal as much as the distance from the end to which we ought to fish.
For example, if we want to fish at 3 feet up from the bottom, we'll have to do a terminal by 3 metres.
Of course, this frame is necessary for an in-depth knowledge of the seabed to be done through the use of a float-marker.
In fact, it is very different if before, we have a depth up to 3 meters or 10.
THE ZIG-ADJUSTABLEIn front of the large depth, the structure the best is, without a doubt, the
zig-adjustable.
To explain it in simple words, is identical to a frame, with a marker but with a terminal 1.5 metres from the float.
Catching up with the reel, or by giving the wire holding open the clutch, thanks to this structure we can place the bait at the required height will be sufficient to take a reference point, 50 cm from the reel and count the times in which we recover or we wire.

By removing 1.5 metres of the final, we know we are fishing 50 cm below the water surface (2 m minus 1.5 is equal 50 cm).
That adjustable is a frame more “invasive”, but it is much more versatile because we can change depth very quickly without recovering the whole of the line, whereas with the “classic” need to recover everything and change the line.
THE STRATEGY OF FISHING THE ZIG
Before speaking of bait, it is appropriate to explain the basic idea which is at the base of the zig rig: we have to “cover” more areas are possible by moving the bait in different water layers in a dynamic way, in order to understand where they are held for the fish.
In fact, during the course of the day, are never at the same point but they move all the time.
That's why, as it has three reeds, it is good to differentiate the different frames in different layers of water, in order to “catch” the fish right where they are eating.

COMBAT SLOW
The fighting, in fishing, zig, is very delicate.

The less complex the combat with a zig-adjustable: however, it also bangs against the limit on number one of this technique, which is the reduced diameter of the end that we use. 0,28, 0,25, and 0,20 millimeters: fishing in mid-water, the more the terminal is thin, the easier it is to fool the carp.
That's why, when fighting a fish that took the bait on a zig rig, it is advisable to do a lot of attention, recover slowly, and turn down the barrel to the side, if necessary.
