The Catana Trolling Lite is designed for trolling with live bait and small artificial baits and is available in four powers from 6lb to 20lb. The full carbon blank is extraordinarily powerful, very sensitive and with an excellent semi-parabolic action to compensate for the use of light lines.
If you've never tried light trolling, you should - it's a lot of fun and can be exceptionally successful for small pelagic species. Unfortunately there are not many charter boats that deal with this type of Fishing, but with the price of a Catana Trolling Lite lower than that of a day of Fishing on a boat, the option of owning your own fishing rod Fishing specialized has never been better. The Catana Trolling Lite is made from Full Carbon, which is why the blank is so thin, light and responsive. Interestingly, the stainless steel Seaguide rings are “coil mounted” on the blank. This setup, significantly different than a traditional guide, takes the line from the top of the rod at the base guide to the bottom of the rod through the slack section. This results in fantastic non-stop action, especially when fighting unexpected prey. The lightweight aluminum reel seat integrates the EVA front handle and ensures maximum comfort and safety when fighting bigger fish.
