Characteristics:

- Light Tough: LT technology introduces new and small size of the reels but at the same time makes them more resistant. A compact body design with a digigear control wheel more resistant to a perfect combination of lightness and robustness.
- Monocque Body: the reel body is a single piece of worked material. This makes it more robust, rigid and sealed against salt. The monocoque body allows the larger wheel control wheel, improving rotation and increasing power.
- Zaion V: is the new super composite material developed by Daiwa to further improve the performance of the Light & Tough reels: it is as light as its older brother Zaion and clearly more rigid and stress resistant than the DS5 and DS4 materials. The mechanical properties of the Zaion V allow you to create more contained bodies and rotors than the DS5 and DS4 materials: internal mechanics can therefore work at best, guarantees greater fluidity and higher resistance to fatigue by giving lighter and more performing reels to result. But that's not all! The Zaion V is a composite based on carbon fiber therefore totally insensitive to corrosion, even when using it in salted water.
