The Speedmaster Surf is a mid-priced, fast action and very balanced surf rod, combining a high quality carbon blank with quality accessories and excellent casting performance.
The Speedmaster Surf fits perfectly into Shimano's surf rod range and offers a variety of models to suit your needs exactly. All rods have a powerful casting action to target important distances and offer a fantastic combination of high performance, quality and attractive price.
Designed with a very responsive action, this fantastic looking range of rods allows you to increase power when you need greater distance, but still maintain the sensitivity needed to show bites from smaller fish when using a light line approach.


The Speedmaster's casting power is generated by the use of high modulus carbon, combined with Diaflash construction at the bottom of the blank. The sensitivity comes from the Hybrid tips mounted on all models, with the exception of the 425T which instead has a tubular tip. The Hybrid tip, characterized by a solid section inserted, has an impressive sensitivity to feel even the most delicate touches.
You can't help but be impressed by the stunning blue blank, mounted with stainless steel Fuji Fazlite K guides or Fuji Lowrider guides depending on the model chosen. They are corrosion resistant, lightweight and reduce friction. If you use braid, you'll be happy to know that all rings are safe for even the thinnest braid. To accommodate large surfcasting reels, a Fuji DPS reel seat sits perfectly on the blank and has been positioned to allow you to create maximum leverage with your bottom hand when casting.
Available in two lengths (4.25 m and 4.50 m), with casting powers ranging from 120 g (Beach model) to 200 g and with two different ringing options, the Speedmaster Surf truly offers you plenty of choice.
