The TX Intensity Spod & Marker is the definitive rod to choose for working long and very long distances. The lightweight yet incredibly strong blank features Shimano's exclusive "Intensity" action, capable of casting spods with large loads at incredible distances and with unbeatable precision, thanks to the Spiral X Core carbon construction.
For marker use, the lightweight blank offers exceptional feel right in the hands for accurate searching of underwater obstacles and for accurate searching of the right depth there are bands of depth markers every 12 inches on the butt section.


Built with Shimano's best Spiral The immensely powerful fast action benefits from reduced barrel twist and ovalization under pressure, resulting in greater accuracy, especially at very long ranges. The high-quality, tangle-free Kigan 3D Zircona guides reduce drag and the custom-designed CI4+ reel seat locks the reel to the rod to create a complete one-piece with no movement. Depending on your preferences, you can choose between two models: 12ft and 13ft. Both are rated with a 5lb Intensity load curve and deliver plenty of power when it comes to casting at extreme distances.
