Designed for Fishing to large bluefin tuna in the Mediterranean, the Vengeance Stand-Up Spiral is a very attractively priced rod, featuring a unique spiral-mounted guide system that significantly improves action under extreme pressure.
Don't be fooled by the cheapness of Vengeance Stand-Up Spiral. It may be our entry-level stand-up rod, but it packs all the power of the more expensive models in the Shimano range. These one-of-a-kind rods were designed by Shimano experts at Fishing to Mediterranean tuna to offer you an affordable solution and are designed with spiral ring mounting allowing the line to follow the curve of the fight. When bent in combat, the line is held away from the blank by the positioning of the guides, producing a better action, with minimal lateral twist, allowing maximum pressure to be applied.

With a name like Vengeance you already know that the blank will be up to any challenge. And it must be, because nothing in the Mediterranean fights with the power, speed and determination of a hooked tuna. Mounted with very robust Shimano Hardlite guides, suitable for monofilament and even thin braided lines, the Shimano aluminum reel seat will firmly hold the largest reel, allowing you to firmly grip the rod in combat. Despite their undoubted robustness, the two models in the Vengeance range maintain excellent action even under pressure and in tests they compared very favorably with much more expensive rods. Available in 50 and 80 pound versions, the one-piece design never gets overloaded and maintains an additional reserve of power, even when you push it to the extreme. The ergonomic EVA handle guarantees a total connection, even when the pressure is maximum.
While many recreational anglers use lower quality rods provided by the charter boats they fish on, the Vengeance Stand-Up Spiral is affordable enough to allow you to own your own drift-specific rod.
