The mid-priced Yasei Dropshot rods have a brilliant extra fast action, specifically designed to maximize casting efficiency Fishing with the dropshot. Beautifully balanced and equipped with some of the most sensitive tips available to maximize bite detection, the bottom of the rods has the back needed for strikes ready at the slightest touch.
Shimano has a long history of high quality dropshot rods and the Yasei Dropshot is no exception. From the ultra-sensitive tip capable of detecting the most delicate touches and structures on the bottom, to the powerful kick that increases the speed of striking, every detail has been meticulously developed to offer optimal performance. Available in two lengths, the 2.10 m Medium Light version has a casting range of 5-18 g, suitable for fishing at close range and around bridges or obstacles, while the longer 2.40 m Medium version has a casting range of 7-21 g and is more suitable for fishing further offshore or in the presence of current. Both models balance a 2000 or 2500 size reel perfectly and offer a combination that any street fishing expert would be proud to use.
The exceptional sensitivity of the Yasei Dropshot comes from the solid TAFTEC tip, an exclusive Shimano technology. This allows you to use finer, more sensitive tips, whilst maintaining the strength needed to tackle the most powerful fish. The heart of every Yasei AX rod is a high modulus carbon blank constructed with Hi-Power X and Nano Alloy technology. This reduces the twisting of the blank when casting and retrieving fish, ensuring greater precision when casting Fishing close to structures and better control when fighting larger than expected fish or bonus zander and pike.
To further increase sensitivity and overall performance, the rods are equipped with the latest generation Fuji Alconite K-type guides, which are lightweight and suitable for both braid and mono lines.
