The mid-priced Yasei Pike Spinning was specially developed for anglers who prefer to fish for large pike with spinning reels. Powerful enough to handle a wide range of baits and to fight effectively with large pike without being overwhelmed, both models are surprisingly light and cast extremely well, making casting less of a chore. As soon as you handle one of the Yasei Pike Spinning models you immediately feel the casting potential of these fast action blanks. With more power at the bottom of both models, these rods are very well calibrated indeed and will allow you to cover a lot of water, whether you are fishing from the bank or from a boat.
The lightest and most versatile rod in the range is the 2.20m H (Heavy) which has a casting range of 20-60g. This makes it an excellent rod for medium-sized baits when combined with a 3000 size reel. The slightly shorter length has the advantage of improving casting precision, especially when casting near reeds and other obstacles that hide fish.
The more powerful 2.50 m EX (Extra Heavy) has a greater optimal casting range of 40-120 g. This system can cover almost any size pike bait designed for larger fish, and when paired with a 4000 or 5000 size spinning reel, produces a formidable casting combination that won't be overwhelmed by outsized cranks and swimbaits.
Both Yasei Pike Spinning models use a high modulus carbon blank constructed with Hi-Power X and Nano Alloy technology. This reduces blank twist when casting and fighting fish and, in the lighter model of the two, offers remarkable response, allowing medium-sized swimbaits to be worked with great precision. In the strongest and most powerful model, the high quality blank construction reduces the overall weight of the rod making it easier to use, whilst maintaining the power needed to handle the biggest baits and fish.
To further increase sensitivity and overall performance, the rods are equipped with the latest generation Fuji Alconite K-type guides, which are lightweight and suitable for both braid and mono lines.
